Choose Ammi for United States Representative District 8
In 1994, when I was 13 years of age, my family and I arrived in the United States of America, not knowing a word of English. My father, Mohammed Ammi, worked as a civilian for the United States Navy in Morocco until he accepted a position at the American Embassy located in Rabat, Morocco.
After 9 years at the Embassy, my father retired from his position and was presented with a plaque, in honor of his service to the United States Department of State.
We were then given the privilege to immigrate and live in the United States of America. I was mesmerized at the time because I believed that this is the Land of Opportunity.
I agreed with Ludwig Max Goldberger who wrote that America is, “the Land of unlimited possibilities.” Sure enough, I came to experience that the US is indeed committed to providing everyone an equal and fair chance.
For instance, in Morocco, every student has to pay for their own books and supplies, while in the US they are provided by the school district.
These are the main points in our political program that were taken as the
basis for our party direction and as the goals to improve the system.
